The Center for Responsibility in Finance (CRF) was founded in 2011 to advance responsible finance and management in research, applied settings and education. Combining expertise from finance, business, psychology and the practice, the center is devoted to independent, high-ranking, inter- and transdisciplinary research.

    Aims

    • Undertaking interdisciplinary research to advance the understanding of conditions at the macro- and microlevel which hinder or facilitate responsible practices. Current key focuses are, for example, the systemic risks generated by financial innovation, individual and situational influences on decision making and behavior, or elements and effects of ethical/responsible leadership.
    • Developing measures and tools („ethical toolkits“) which help to assess and to promote responsibility and self-regulation at the organizational and individuel level.
    • Offering confidential advice to firms on implementing issues of responsibility and ethics.
    • Promoting education in responsibility in finance and management.
