Kjell G. Nyborg on Collateral Frameworks: The Open Secret of Central Banks

Prof. Kjell G. Nyborg will give a public lecture on the topic of his new book, Collateral Frameworks: The Open Secret of Central Banks, published on Cambridge University Press.

The book unpacks the opaque structure at the heart of central banking, the money creation process, and the financial system - namely central banks' collateral frameworks - and discusses the potentially far-reaching implications for financial stability, the economy, and society.

The book covers collateral policy in the euro area in detail and sheds new light on central banking, the architecture and politics of money, and the euro crisis.

The lecture will be held in English.
