Chat IPCC: Making Climate Risk Understandable

Prof. Markus Leippold and his research team launched Chat IPCC – a chatbot based on the most recent IPCC reports: www.chatclimate.ai

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change. The IPCC provides regular assessments of the scientific basis of climate change, its impacts and future risks, and options for adaptation and mitigation.

The goal of this AI based language model is to provide accurate and reliable information on climate change, drawing from the robust and comprehensive scientific literature assessed by the IPCC.

With this tool, the researchers hope to bridge the gap between complex scientific findings and various audiences, including businesses, the financial sector, civil society, the media, educators, and school kids at all levels.

The scientific work behind the tool is summarized in the paper "chatIPCC: Grounding Conversational AI in Climate Science": https://lnkd.in/eEeCx6fB
