Ana Mão de Ferro wins SFI PhD Doctoral Award 2023

Our PhD Student Ana Mão de Ferro wins the Best Discussant Doctoral Award, which is awarded to PhD students for an outstanding discussion of a paper presented at the SFI Research Days. She discussed the paper "ESG and bond market resilience: Evidence from the Covid crisis".

She discussed the paper "ESG and bond market resilience: Evidence from the Covid crisis", presented by Polina Efremenko and co-authored by Sudheer Chava and Carolina Salva. The paper is related to one of Ana's working papers. In "Inflation, the Corporate Greed Narrative, and the Value of Corporate Social Responsibility", joint work with Stefano Ramelli, she documents the importance of social capital for firm value in times of crisis. More broadly, her main research interests are Empirical Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurship, and her advisor is Alexander F. Wagner.
